call me crazy

I have a pet spider who rides with me in my car.

Yesterday my friend told me that she'd politely escorted him from the vehicle and I wanted to slam on the brakes as a show of respect for my lost comrade. Luckily he resisted her efforts long enough for me to explain that he was a friendly and he belonged in the car.
He isn't doing any harm, we have an agreement not to surprise each other with any kind of personal contact and so far no breeches in our contract. He leaves little wisps of webs around the place and they shimmer in the sunlight. I appreciate his efforts making my car a little prettier.
Won't name him, that's taking it too far. 'My Buddy' works because "..wherever I go, he goes.."

Yeah, you're weird. But then again I have a pet spider in my bathroom. I swear I washed him down the drain, but then I spotted him the next day up on the wall, and the day after that in my bathtub.

Suppose it goes back to the days of the "bug catcher" and killing--then reviving grasshoppers...

It all depends on size and hairiness. And then too, what does your spider live on in your car....flies, gnats, mosquitoes? What kind of a ecosphere are you driving around in?
