Ben says super nonchalantly, "Yeah, I'll either be President of the United States or a Rock Star."
I said, "Very cool, I'll tell people I used to know you."
He sighed and said, "But I'll tell them I don't know you."
Funny kid. Already the fame has gone to his head.
After work my friend Di called and said our friend Ali was here for just a few more hours before heading home to Canada. Ali is a one of kind person and it turns out her family is very cool too. It was raining buckets when we met Ali at Temple Square. We walked a couple blocks and piled into their van with them. Where to eat was the question and when we narrowed down the selections to Thai or Italian I suggested my favorite Thai place just a couple blocks away, Sawadee.
We had a great time catching up and making plans for possible trips in the future. I met these girls on the Comfort and they both travel a ton. I love having friends who love to travel. I'm ready for an adventure. Canada sounds great. Especially in July when it would be a nice, cool break from the desert heat.

I love when kids say funny stuff like that. They just see the world in a completely different light than us stodgy old adults.
That little boy is probably a prophet. Don't take it too hard :)
As for Canada....do everything you can while you can.
